Foster + Partners is an international sustainable architecture, urban planning and design studio based in London and founded by architect Norman Foster in 1967. Since then, Foster and the team that accompany him have established an international practice that has earned great reputation worldwide. Its offices around the world in the 5 continents work as a single study that is diverse not only in terms of ethnicity but also in terms of cultures.
Sustainability is its main focus of work. The projects carried out by Foster + Partners are developed with international standards and tailored strategies that involve respect and care for the environment. To design in a sustainable way, the studio works holistically, allowing this particular approach of integrated design to enable the development of innovative strategies for its construction works while maintaining a strong focus on the future of the environment.
Ponce de León Arquitectos studio was founded in February 2004 by renowned architect Carlos Ponce de León. Since the beginning of his career, Ponce de León has worked on projects of various scales and programmes, including urban development planning. His experience of more than three decades spreads not only to Uruguay but also Argentina, Brazil, Peru, India, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and several other countries in Latin America. Many of his works are found in Carrasco neighbourhood, as well as in the exclusive resort of Punta del Este.
The studio practice is committed to design and sustainable architecture, promoting the incorporation of environment care in all stages of its processes, achieving the objective of minimising the impact of architecture on the environment through the implementation of efficiency not only in terms of energy, but also in terms of the use of its resources.
